Founder Wins the 2023 North Carolina Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service

It was dope to be able to receive this award and celebrate our seniors. The moment was really special being that we are at the baseball fields I grew up on. I am very grateful for the people that made this possible.

THE IMPACT

The North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service has presented the 2023 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award to Grant Bennett, Founder & President of The Two-Six Project. The Governor’s Volunteer Service Award honors people who have shown concern and compassion for their neighbors by making a significant contribution to their community through volunteer service. The award was created in the Office of the Governor in 1979. Grant was presented the award at College Lakes Park by Commissioner Glen Adams & City Council Member Kathy Jenson.
